I want sinks that sit below the countertops. Also, all faucets will need to reach out far enough that hands do not hit the back of the sink.

Japanese Garden

I want a Japanese garden area designed into one section of the house that sits next to the traditional Japanese room with tatami mats, etc.

First Ideas

-sliding windows rather than crank-arm opening (horizontal or vertical?)

-shades integrated in windows

-blackout curtains

-shallow drawers under table

-good lighting in shower

-walk-in closet that functions as a hallway between master bedroom and bathroom

-laundry chutes from all over to bring laundry down

-hanging structures for drying laundry

-hanging area waiting for ironing
